Are The Advances In Technology Making Best Double Buggy Better Or Worse?
The Best Double Buggy Strollers
A double buggy is the best when you are expecting twins, or if you have two children of different age groups. The ideal double buggy is easy to maneuver and is able to take on rough surfaces.
They also have features like large sun canopies as well as hoods that are transparent and adjustable seats.
1. Baby Jogger City Tour Double
The City Tour 2 Double stroller is the smallest in the Baby Jogger range. It's designed for travel, and fits through standard doors easily due to its narrow and slim design. It's also one the lightest double buggies on the market with a weight of just 14lbs when folded. This makes it perfect for traveling with a baby and toddler because you won't have to exceed the allowances for luggage on airlines. It can also be folded up to the size of the size of a small travel bag so you can store it in the back seat of your car.
The one-handed, Z-shape fold is easy and it's extremely compact once you master it. It can take a couple of minutes to fold. However our tester found the auto lock a little confusing. As the handlebar doesn't lock into place when you press it, it hit her legs when she used it. She also thought the handlebar was on the short side. This is especially true when a large changing bag is hanging from it.
This double stroller is not as light as other buggies. It has a full range of features, and is among the most versatile double strollers available on the market. It's compatible with two carrycots (available separately), features several recline positions and comes with an UV 50+ canopy. You can even add an additional bassinet to one or both seats to transform this into a travel system.
The four composite wheels made of rubber are ideal for pavements and urban terrain however, they're not designed for off-roading - they struggled with long grass and gravel, and there isn't much clearance between the wheel and the bracket so mud was able to get stuck easily. But, our tester still loved the buggy and did get up to some beautiful muddy hills.

It's a heavier tandem buggie, but it's a breeze to use and drive particularly on smooth roads. It is stable in single and double mode, and also on sloped ground. It's not as simple to use on public transport because it requires two hands to hold the handlebar. It's also large and can't be stuffed into the standard car boot with the seat attached, but this can be overcome by careful planning. iCandy has included a footmuff and changing bag included in the cost, so it's an excellent value for new parents.

Our testers noted that the Nipper Double was incredibly easy to maneuver, even moving off on uneven ground or turning quickly in a busy street. They were also impressed by the fact that both seats recline independently, which means they can be adjusted to fit individual needs - ideal for napping.
The hoods were also easy to adjust for sun or wind protection. They didn't offer as much coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It's worth carrying an extra rain cover in case.
Overall, our test participants were impressed with the Nipper double's ability let them take their twin daughters Sydney and Lyla to all kinds of adventures. From exploring the forest for wildlife to rushing to the park for a playdate they were thrilled. They were also awed by how cosy and spacious the two seats are, with plenty of room for growing toddlers to sprawl out in. Our testers did note that the absence of parent-facing seating and the inability of using car seats with the buggy was a disadvantage and they would like to have more storage space to store shopping items and other accessories.
